Punk rock music group originating from northern California, United States, during this little friend, Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocal) and Michael Ryan Pritchard, or better known by the name Mike Dirnt (bass, backing vocal) formed their first band at age 14 year.
After Al Sobrante (drums) joined in 1989 they changed the name to be GREENDAY. Their first album 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hour released the end of 1989. Not long after the album's first Green Day, Al Sobrante (drums) left Green Day and its position replaced by Frank Edwin Wright III or better known by the name Tre Cool drum players become permanent after Al Sobrante exit from Green Day. The success of their second album Kerplunk in 1992 to bring in their contracts with large companies and released Dookie in 1994. Albums released this hit single "When I Come Around" is the No.1 position in the U.S. charts for seven weeks and eventually won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Performance. The success of Green Day yet to discover many more albums that they release, including Isomniac (1995), Nimrod (1997) Warning (2000). A number of them won awards including the MTV Video Music Awards, Nikelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and won three Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Album category through the album Dookie (1994), Best Rock Album for album American idiot (2004) and Record of the Year for the album Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The group formed in 1989 it has been successful selling of more than 24.2 million albums in the United States and more than 60 million albums worldwide. With the achievement of Green Day has been considered to restore the spirit of punk rock bengenre to the world.
